Stan Collymore on Man United & Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

In his weekly column in the Mirror, Stan Collymore has apologised to Man United and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

In something of a rarity, Collymore has admitted that his earlier analysis of Solskjaer’s appointment at Old Trafford was wholly wrong.

When Man United gave OGS the manager’s job on an interim basis until the end of the season, Collymore thought that was a mistake.

However after 10 wins and a draw since Solskjaer got the job, Collymore has backtracked:

When Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was hired by Manchester United I couldn’t see how it would work.

But I have been genuinely stunned by what he has done and I love the way he talks.

I’d have absolutely no problem with Solskjaer becoming the United manager now and the romantic in me says give him the job and tell the world as soon as possible.

Solskjaer is possessed by Sir Alex Ferguson’s ghost

Collymore is likely to be ridiculed for one line in his article on Solskjaer.

The talking-head compared the Norwegian to Sir Alex, saying:

When (Solskjaer) opens his mouth it’s almost as if he has been possessed by the ghost of Sir Alex Ferguson.

That line may well go down badly, as Sir Alex Ferguson is of course very much alive and kicking.

This is after Sir Alex had significant health problems in 2018.

Has anyone, apart from Collymore, ever heard of a living person having a ghost?
