The Reds captain was getting plenty of stick from supporters on his return to the Liverpool XI from injury
Some Liverpool fans were left cursing, and then celebrating, and then cursing again after Jordan Henderson marked his return to the team by being sent off against Watford.
The Reds captain was back in starting line-up for Saturday’s 3-0 victory after a spell on the sidelines with injury, but his return was not welcomed by a portion of supporters.
Henderson does his job in the Liverpool midfield – he keeps things ticking over in the middle while their world class front-three take care of the goals.
PLAYER RATINGS: How did Liverpool’s stars perform against Watford?
Fans, though, are often left frustrated by his lack of creativity and his needless sending off for two bookable offences against Watford only put the spotlight on him more.
But while some supporters were celebrating the fact the England man is now suspended for the upcoming Merseyside derby against Everton, others pointed out that it means he will likely feature in their Champions League crunch match against Paris Saint-Germain this week.

Other Liverpool fans, though, were unimpressed by their fellow supporters hounding Henderson after what was – sending off aside – a solid display from the midfielder.
