Tottenham vs Manchester United
Manchester United travel to Tottenham on Sunday in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s biggest test as United boss.
Solskjaer has had a superb start to life as Man United boss, winning his first four league games vs Cardiff, Huddersfield, Newcastle and Bournemouth.
United’s interim boss also guided them to a 2-0 win vs Reading in the FA Cup 3rd round last weekend.
However, Solskjaer has yet to face a team with the quality of Spurs during his short stint as United manager.
Tottenham are currently 3rd in the league, 10 points ahead of 6th place Manchester United.
Spurs are also enjoying their best ever start to a Premier League season.
But Spurs players me be slightly fatigued heading into Sunday’s game as they did have a League Cup tie on Tuesday vs Chelsea.
Paul Pogba fitness update
If Solskjaer were to pick up a win vs Spurs, he should certainly at least become a candidate for the permanent United job.
One player who has epitomised United’s turn around under Solskjaer is Paul Pogba.
Since Solskjaer took over at United, Pogba has scored four and assisted three in four league games.
Pogba would pick up a knock in United’s last league games vs Newcastle casting doubt over his involvement on Sunday.
Luckily for United fans, Solskjaer has since confirmed that Pogba should be fine to feature vs Spurs:
“He looked OK towards the end [of the training camp], so he’ll be fit.”
“No, no. He did have some problems but he came through the last couple of sessions well, so he should be OK.”
