Hugo Lloris, Dele Alli, Toby Alderweireld and Kieran Trippier will all miss the Group B clash at the San Siro

Tottenham get their 2018/19 Champions League campaign underway at Inter Milan on Tuesday – but they will be without FOUR key players for the clash.

The club have announced that France goalkeeper Hugo Lloris will miss out with a thigh injury and Dele Alli with a hamstring strain, while defenders Kieran Trippier and Toby Alderweireld have not travelled to Italy despite being fit.

Trippier and Alderweireld have been left out for ‘technical reasons’

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino told the press on Monday: “For a technical decision, Kieran Tripper and Toby Alderweireld are there [in London] too.”

Inter Milan vs Tottenham is LIVE on talkSPORT from 5.55pm on Tuesday

Asked if Tripper and Alderweireld were injured, Pochettino said: “It was a technical decision. You can find it in the dictionary, technical decision. Maybe tactical also on the pitch, yes, it’s tactical too.

“But it’s a technical decision. You cannot bring 25 players and can only play 11 and seven on the bench. That is the reason.”
