Newcastle United are looking to land Italy international Mattia Destro as Rafael Benitez attempts to add more goals to his side.

And now it has been reported that the Magpies want to strengthen their forward line in time for the second half of the campaign by landing Destro.
The 27-year-old has struggled for form at Bologna this term and has so far failed to score in six Serie A outings.
Now a fresh start looks on the cards and Calciomercato have claimed that Newcastle are currently alongside Sampdoria in a two-horse race for the striker’s signature.
