The new design will break with the usual tradition of vertical lines to give the shirt a unique look
Inter Milan have had images of their legendary home shirt leaked but there is a slightly alternative approach to the famous blue and black kit.
Designing a home strip can be a tricky task, as you have to balance between keeping the kit modern, while retaining the tradition and history that a shirt such as Inter Milan’s carries.
The new 2019/20 Inter Milan kit combines thick vertical black and blue stripes, while the stripes that run across the middle of the torso are diagonal to give off an almost 3D effect, as shown on Footy Headlines, which might be divisive given it’s such a departure from the usual style.
The blue on the shirt is slightly lighter than recent versions and will be more prominent on the sleeves.
There will also be a white collar and white trim on the sleeves and white will be used for the Nike, as well as the Pirelli logo, which has been a main sponsor feature on the shirt since 1995, and a small white stripe under the nape of the neck.
Inter Milan aren’t the only Nike affiliated side experimenting with new patterns with Barcelona using a ‘Croatia-style’ checked template.
Can Luciano Spalletti inspire his men to dethrone Juventus, who have all but one this year’s Serie A title, in this strip?
