Summer signing ready to take his chance when the time comes at the London Stadium
Unused West Ham summer signing Xande Silva insists he will prove himself in east London despite being overlooked by Manuel Pellegrini so far this season.
The 21-year-old joined the Hammers from Portuguese club Vitoria Guimaraes back in August for around £3million but is yet to make a first-team appearance.
A hat-trick for the club’s Under-23s against Tottenham saw him hyped by supporters, while he also netted against Manchester City and Arsenal. And speaking to Portuguese outlet A Bola, Silva has insisted he will wait patiently for his time to shine.
“This is a great experience, here there are all the conditions for a Portuguese player to play, you just have to stay focused,” he said.
“He (Pellegrini) is a good manager, with great experience, which he has acquired in the great clubs where he’s been.
