Mesut Ozil’s future at Arsenal in real danager

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil is facing an uncertain future at the Emirates, according to BBC Sport reporter David Ornstein.

Manager Unai Emery has been forced to leave the German at home ahead of his side’s trip to face Liverpool due to a knee complaint.

The German was substituted off at half-time against Brighton and Hove Albion and will now miss the clash at Anfield.

Doubt cast over Ozil’s future at Arsenal

The 30-year-old’s future has been cast into real doubt as he struggles to fit Emery’s new philosophy at the Emirates.

The Spanish manager has instead preferred the likes of Alex Iwobi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan over the German.

Aaron Ramsey has also been given the same treatment by Emery by being restricted to limited game time.

Ornstein claims that given the player’s age he is unlikely to change and Emery may now be forcing him out.

Ozil is keen to remain in North London, but with Emery not fancying him, the £350k-per-week man could be forced to find a new club.

Ozil out of Liverpool vs Arsenal due to injury

Once again Ozil has been left out of the Gunners’ squad due to an injury complaint.

There have been suggestions the move is tactical, however, it is unlikely he would have been completely discarded from the squad.
