Reds fans took time to applaud the Brazilian midfielder as he excelled out of position in a 1-0 victory over the Seagulls
Liverpool supporters were delighted on Saturday night as their side claimed all three points against Brighton and Hove Albion with a 1-0 scoreline.
They reserved special praise for one man though as they toughed it out to get their Premier League title charge back on track.
A defeat to Manchester City had got some fans fearing a wobble and these worries were increased when the extent of their injury crisis was revealed.
Virgil van Dijk, as good as he is, was the only fit senior centre-back ahead of the match but up stepped summer signing Fabinho to deliver an excellent and assured display to stop the Reds coming unstuck.
The Brazilian looked composed as he settled in alongside his Dutch team-mate and stifled any Brighton attacks which found their way towards him.
And on Twitter the Anfield faithful were quick to praise the player for this performance but, as you can see below, some couldn’t resist a dig at Dejan Lovren…
