A winning change
Games and Premier League titles aren’t just won by the first eleven on the field.
They’re also won by the players on the bench and who make up the squad.
That’s why when Liverpool paid only £13.5 million for Xherdan Shaqiri in the summer, many people thought they had a bargain on their hands.
Little did they know, the Swiss international would end up being the signing of the season so far.
Shaqiri has been key time and time again – and against Man United, came off the bench to great effect.
He had an instant impact, scoring to make it 2-1, and then put his second and Liverpool’s third of the game in the back of the net for good measure.
In fact, Shaqiri became the first Liverpool player to score multiple goals in a home Premier League game against Manchester United since Dirk Kuyt in back in March 2011.
The fans were loving him, and while United fans were fuming and embarrassed, Liverpool ones knew it was their day.

Xherdan Shaqiri’s goal meant that all 11 outfield players to feature for Liverpool against Man Utd have had a shot.

Genius piece of business from Klopp in getting Shaqiri. Signing of the season so far.
Creative, versatile, explosive player who’s willing to come off the bench and always performs in the big games. Amazing.

Crucial deflections on those two Shaqiri goals but no doubt about who is better side here ( as table indicates)
