Leicester & Everton
It was a bad weekend for both Leicester and Everton in the Premier League.
Leicester were in action on Sunday at Wembley against Tottenham.
The Foxes put in a spirited performance against Spurs, and on another day Claude Puel’s side may have even won the match.
But the story of the game centred around Jamie Vardy’s missed penalty as Leicester lost 3-1.
On Saturday, Marco Silva watched his Everton side lose again.
Silva saw his former club Watford beat the Toffees 1-0 at Vicarage Road.
Everton have lost their last three matches in a row.
Chelsea’s terrible weekend
Yet Leicester and Everton’s losses slinked into the background after Man City thumped Chelsea 6-0.
Chelsea have now shipped 10 goals without scoring in their last two Premier League away trips.
Will the Blues finish in the top four?
Following the Man City rout, Chelsea slipped below Arsenal into sixth spot in the division on goal difference.
Meanwhile, after 10 wins and draw since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over, Man United have moved into fourth spot in the league.
Premier League sack race
Maurizio Sarri’s odds of being sacked have tumbled to just 11/10 with Ladbrokes.
Having been a 100/1 shot two months ago, the Chelsea boss now sits at the head of the betting, in front of Marco Silva (13/5) and Claude Puel (4/1).
And as if things couldn’t get worse for the Italian, he’s just 6/1 to be sacked BEFORE Chelsea’s game against Malmo on Thursday.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Sarri-ball has clearly lost its sing and our traders are confident he’ll be out the Chelsea door in the coming weeks – possibly even days.”
Sack race: latest odds
Maurizio Sarri – 11/10
