Anthony Martial injury vs Arsenal
Midway through the second half of Man United’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal, Anthony Martial picked up an injury.
Romelu Lukaku came off the bench to replace Martial in the 63rd minute.
Martial needed to exit the game after an awkward fall against the Gunners.
The injury came about as Martial challenged Sead Kolasinac for possession.
After hitting the deck, Martial required medical treatment.
Just before he walked off the pitch gingerly, Martial was spotted grabbing the back of his right leg.
Jose Mourinho on Anthony Martial
After the Arsenal game, Jose Mourinho gave a 12-minute post match presser.
The very last thing which Mourinho spoke about was Martial’s injury status.
The Man United manager seemed to indicate that Martial’s knock may not be as bad as feared:
He doesn’t think it is an injury. He thinks it’s a pre-injury, he was feeling tight.
Of course, while that sounds positive one has to assume the Man United medical staff will be closely assessing Martial.

Jose Mourinho: We scored four goals vs Arsenal
Mourinho also made the following comment after the Arsenal game:
We scored four goals and we drew 2-2. Even in matches like today where we play well, we always shoot ourselves.
Mourinho’s comment was understood as a thinly veiled jab in David De Gea and Marcos Rojo’s direction.
De Gea failed to prevent Shkodran Mustafi’s header from crossing the Man United goalline as Arsenal took the lead.
As for Arsenal’s second goal, that came about from a terrible pass from Rojo to Alexandre Lacazette.
