Brighton vs Liverpool
Liverpool travel to Brighton on Saturday as they look to bounce back from their first Premier League defeat of the season.
The Reds are currently top of the Premier League after 21 games. They are also four points above 2nd place Manchester City.
However, Liverpool had a chance to extend that lead to 10 points on January 3rd when they went head to head with City.
Unfortunately for Liverpool fans they would lose said game 2-1 and would then also lose 2-1 vs Wolves in the FA Cup earlier this week.
So, Jurgen Klopp’s side will be in desperate need of a win on Saturday to regain some confidence.
As for Brighton, they head into the weekend’s games 13th in the league.
The Seagulls are not on the best form but they have not lost any of their last three league games.
Jordan Henderson injury update
Heading into the clash with Brighton, Liverpool have several injury problems, largely at centre-back.
With Dejan Lovren, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip all set to miss the Brighton games, it is likely Klopp with start Fabinho at centre-back on Saturday.
With Dejan Lovren (hamstring) expected to miss the Brighton game and Joe Gomez (lower leg fracture) and Matip (collarbone) ruled out. Klopp could once again look to Fabinho to play in the heart of defence alongside Virgil van Dijk. #LFC

As a result, Liverpool will likely want to play Jordan Henderson in midfield in place of the Brazilian.
However, Henderson picked up a calf injury in the defeat to Man City and is now a doubt to face Brighton.
Jordan Henderson is facing a race against time to be fit for Saturday as he struggles to overcome the calf injury he suffered at the Etihad (GW21). #LFC
