Ivan Gazidis resigns as Gunners chief executive to take over at AC Milan


The 53-year-old is set to leave after nine-and-a-half years with the north London club

Ivan Gazidis has resigned as Arsenal’s chief executive to join Italian side AC Milan, the Premier League club have confirmed.

Gazidis, who has held the post since January 2009, will leave the north London outfit by the end of October and will begin his new role as CEO of AC Milan in December.

Head of football relations Raul Sanllehi and chief commercial officer Vinai Venkatesham have been appointed in new roles to take over from the 53-year-old.

Sanllehi has been appointed Arsenal’s new head of football, while Venkatesham becomes the club’s managing director.
