The visitors were forced into two changes through injury, with plenty of other players needing treatment

Arsenal were forced to settle for a draw against Manchester United in a bruising encounter at Old Trafford.

The visitors took the lead when David De Gea inexplicably allowed Shkodran Mustafi’s header to slip through his fingers and trickle agonisingly over the line.

United responded instantly as Ander Herrera was quickest to react to Marcos Rojo’s spilled free kick to square for Anthony Martial to tap home his eighth goal of the season.

After losing Aaron Ramsey and Rob Holding to injuries, the introduction of Alexandre Lacazette sparked the Gunners into life as they regained the lead through the France internationals scuffed shot.

But right from the restart the game was level again as Sead Kolasinac dithered on the ball in the box after Romelu Lukaku caused mayhem, allowing Jesse Lingard to squeeze the ball past Bernd Leno.
