Diogo Jota missed last Tuesday’s 3-2 FA Cup replay win over Shrewsbury with a knock but is expected to return.
Ruben Vinagre missed that game due to a virus but should also be available.
Benitez has decisions to make ahead of the trip to the West Midlands with Newcastle’s new record signing Miguel Almiron in line for his debut.
And the Toon’s injury list has also decreased with Karl Darlow, Paul Dummett, Mohamed Diame, Ki Sung-yueng and Joselu all fit again and Yoshinori Muto back from the Asian Cup.
Only keeper Rob Elliot and midfielder Jonjo Shelvey remain on the casualty list, although the latter is back in training and close to a return.
