Paul Scholes has been charged with misconduct in relation to the Football Association’s betting rules, the governing body has announced.

The former Manchester United midfielder allegedly placed 140 bets on football matches over a four-year period, between August 2015 and January 2019.

Scholes has been charged by the FA
