Former Gunners admits his old rivals have every chance of challenging Liverpool and Manchester City for the English crown
Tottenham ‘can definitely challenge’ Liverpool and Manchester City for the Premier League title this season, Arsenal legend Ray Parlour has ruefully told talkSPORT.
Spurs were at their clinical best as they fired SIX goals past Everton on Sunday in a 6-2 victory at Goodison Park on Sunday, with Harry Kane and Heung-min Son each scoring a brace.
The win cemented their place in the Premier League’s top three over the Christmas period, and left them just six points off leaders Liverpool.
It’s been a quite remarkable first half of the season for Tottenham, who have defied their many doubters after they ended the summer transfer window without signing a single new player.

Mauricio Pochettino – apparently coveted by Manchester United – has worked his magic with this current Spurs side and even Parlour has conceded his old foes are well placed to battle for the crown.
“You can’t write them off,” he told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast on Christmas Eve.
“I’ve always said it’s going to be a two-horse race between Liverpool and Manchester City.
“But if you look at the table, Spurs are two points off Man City and six off Liverpool, so if they keep playing the way they are and keep everybody fit, they’re got every chance.
“It was an all-round great performance yesterday and they’re having an unbelievable season. They haven’t drawn one game yet.
“Tottenham’s starting XI is a very good side who can definitely challenge Liverpool and Manchester City.”
