Chelsea’s triple injury boost

On Monday, Chelsea manager Mauriio Sarri met the press at Cobham before the League Cup tie.

Sarri have revealed that Willian, Pedro and Olivier Giroud are all in contention to return for the Spurs game.

That could be a significant triple injury boost for the Pensioners. Sarri’s exact words were:

Pedro, Willian and Giroud. They are doing better. Yesterday they trained with the group but I don’t know if they will be able to play for tomorrow.

Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella

Cesc Fabregas is set to join AS Monaco this week.

However there is a mini hiccup in the transfer deal as it’s being reported that Chelsea are demanding 10 million pounds from the Ligue 1 side.

Nevertheless, Thierry Henry has revealed he’s been in constant contact with Fabregas since he left Arsenal, and most expect the deal to go through.

That’s lead to speculation that Chelsea could try to sign Nicolo Barella from Cagliari in January.

Barella, 21, has recently been called up to the Italian national side.

When Sarri was asked about he possible deal on Monday, the Blues boss kept his cards close to his chest.
