Neil Warnock‘s men are now two points behind the Seagulls, despite having played a game more, to ensure there will be a thrilling finale to the end of the season.

Brighton’s Solly March twice went close in the early stages but it was the visitors who took the lead 22 minutes into the game.

Nathaniel Mendez-Laing finished off a fine counter-attack by the Bluebirds when he curled the ball home from 25 yards.

Dale Stephens had Brighton’s best chance to hit back but his shot was blocked for a corner and the visitors led 1-0 at the break.

Cardiff were 2-0 ahead five minutes into the second half and the goal came from Sean Morrison.
