The Wales international assumed the role of captain when Petr Cech went off injured, but was soon substituted himself
Aaron Ramsey should NEVER start for Arsenal again according to a section of Gunners fans who watched his abject performance against Watford on Saturday.
The Wales international was always likely to come under intense scrutiny from his own fans after rumours about his future began to circulate in the media.
Ramsey is reportedly ready to reject any new contract offered to him in north London in the hope of securing a more lucrative deal elsewhere for free next summer.
With Manchester United reportedly keeping a close eye on the midfielder during the previous summer window, the chances of Ramsey following Alexis Sanchez and Robin van Persie up the M1 seem likely.
However, he may want to buck his ideas up if he is to get a move away.
During the Gunners’ victory over Watford, Ramsey was woeful in a No.10 position – seemingly lost in an advanced role.
After taking the captain’s armband from the injured Petr Cech, Ramsey was actually substituted soon after and left seething on the bench.
An own goal from Craig Cathcart and a smart finish from Mesut Ozil secured all three points at the Emirates for the hosts. But check out the reaction online to Ramsey’s poor performance.
