This year’s tournament is open to both female and male travel, premier and rec select teams. Our tournament acts as a partial fund-raiser for our Montgomery United Soccer Club’s girls and boys teams in addition to a portion of the funds raised benefiting breast cancer awareness and research for finding a cure. We are looking forward to continuing to add to our impressive total of over $125,000.00 that have been donated to the foundation over the last nine years! This year’s tournament should be our largest yet.
The SHOOT FOR THE CURE tournament is a soccer tournament for girls and boys Travel/Premier teams (U9-U16) and for girls and boys Rec Select teams (U9-U16) to be held on May 14 and 15, 2011. Rec Select divisions will play on either Saturday, May 14 or Sunday, May 15 depending on the age group. Games will be played in the Montgomery County, Pennsylvania area. There is a three game guarantee for the Travel/Premier two day format. Some local teams may play Friday evening as needed.
This is an unrestricted tournament open to all US Soccer Federation affiliated clubs. All teams must have valid player passes & roster, medical release forms, and travel permits for teams from other states than Pennsylvania. Team rosters are limited to 14 players for U9, U10, U11 8v8 and U12 8v8 and 18 players for U11 (11v11) and above. Three guest players are permitted.
Games will be played in the following age brackets: U9-U18. Individual awards will be given to all First & Second place teams.
The application form, together with the entrance fee (Travel/Premier $400.00 U9-U12 8v8, $450.00 U11-16 11v11 and Rec Select $250 U9-U16) and current roster must be submitted no later than May 1, 2011. Acceptances will be e-mailed upon receipt of entrance fee and application. Registration will take place on May 13, 2010, at which time you will need to provide a current medical release form and valid player passes.
